| What caused Judah and Israel to go into captivity? Was it not Yahweh’s command? De 4:19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, [even] all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which Yahweh thy Elohim hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. Did they do just that? Jer 8:2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. Notice they loved, served, walked with, sought and worshipped these things. Why does Isaiah say this and Amos also. Isa 1:14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear [them]. Am 5:21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Why does he call them Your, not mine… Many say because they were unfaithful and didn’t keep them right. But would he not say, you have corrupted my New Moons and Sabbaths (appointed feasts). Scripture tells us how they worshipped the sun. Eze 8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, [were] about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. When did they do that? At the first light of the sun. Is this at least a part of the reason they went into captivity? Other Scriptures: De 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 2Ki 23:5 And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven. 2Ki 17:16 And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, [even] two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. 2Ki 21:3 For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven and served them. Did they count the Holy Days right? Seems not to. Yahweh says He hates THEIR Feast Days. What happened? They wanted to serve the gods of Babylon, so He sent them into captivity where they got these ideas. It is so easy to say, “that’s plain paganism. We don’t do that in our churches today.” Are you sure? We set a time to celebrate the birthday of Jesus on a date that’s not even His birthday. In addition to that we call it by a pagan name, Christmas, and teach our children to worship a non-existent man called “Santa Clause”. We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on the first day of the week when actually He resurrected on the 7th day Sabbath. He had predicted He would be in the grave three days and three nights. No one can get three days and three nights from “Good Friday” to Sunday morning. Jesus told us not to call anyone “Father” (in place of God) and many call their so called “spiritual” leaders Father. Many people around the world, including most churches, keep Sunday (first day of the week) for God’s Sabbath not really caring whether God cares or not, that He set the seventh day (Sat.) for His Sabbath. He kept it with his countrymen on that day. So did the apostles. Our churches have accepted homosexuals for ministers, when God condemns the very act, as sinful, in His word. We eat things God explains that He didn’t create to be eaten, and we eat all kinds of “abominable” creatures in spite of His instructions of acceptable and unclean creatures, for our own good health. I could go on and on, all the things our good “Christians” do that God condemns. I can give scriptures to back it all up. We make up our own religions and pretend we are good Christians and expect God to accept it and bless us. But God says IF. De 28:1 And it shall come to pass, IF thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: De 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: De 28:14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. De 28:15 But it shall come to pass, IF thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Read the rest of this warning. It is scary! Most “Christians” don’t even take God seriously; they don’t even read His message enough to know what He demands of His “called out ones”. Most people had rather have a one hour sermon about “Little baby Jesus” or how much Jesus loves us, and let someone else tell us something we want to hear, not what the Bible really says about God‘s wrath. Yes, He loves us, but He said He chastises those He loves. So, we think because He has been merciful so far it will last forever. They think Jesus came and changed everything. Did you know there was no New Testament when Jesus and the apostles taught out of the scriptures? Jesus didn’t delete His Father’s laws, He came to make them more binding. He has even warned us that we also will go into captivity, during this age, unless we, as a nation, stop living the ways of death. The letter He gives to us in the book of Revelation warns us of what is going to happen eventually, if we don’t change. It is going to happen; it just depends on us as to when. And from the way things are going in the world, it looks like it is not going to be too far into the future. What do you think? I think, if we don’t clean up our sinful acts, we are in for some serious bad times in the future, that’s going to be a lot worse than fore-closured homes. |
