DOES BEING RELIGIOUS MEAN WE HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT? ALL SPIRITS ARE NOT HOLY: “Beloved, believe Not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of Yahweh [“God”; KJV].” (I Jn. 4:1) “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, paying attention to Deceitful Spirits and Doctrines of Demons. “(I Tim. 4:1) “Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared… For-bidding to marry [celibacy].” (I Tim. 4:2) KINDS OF SPIRITS: UNCLEAN SPIRITS (Lk. 6:18; Acts 5:16; spirits who break the Laws of clean/unclean [meats, persons, Lev.12-13, 15) DECEITFUL SPIRITS (I Tim. 4:1) EVIL SPIRITS (Lk. 7:21) “FAMILIAR” SPIRITS (KJV). Isa. 8:19; “…mediums, and spiritists who whisper and mutter..” [NAS]; (A spiritist believes the dead communicate with the living; basically immortality of the soul.) HOW DO WE KNOW WE HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT? IF We Speak According to the Law: “To the Law and the Testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isa. 8:20) Obey the Truth: “…obeying the Truth through the Spirit…” (I Pet. 1:22; Jn. 14:17) Strive to Avoid Sinning: “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the Truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins.” (Heb. 10:26) “Whosoever committeth Sin transgresses also the Law: for Sin is the Transgression of the Law.” (I Jn. 3:4) WHAT IS TRUTH? “Thy righteousness is…everlasting, and thy Law is the Truth.” (Psa. 119:142) THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES NOT REPLACE THE COMMANDMENTS: Submit to Yahweh’s Righteous Law: “For they being ignorant of Yahweh’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of Yahweh.” (Rom. 10:3). Live as Yahshua Did “For the Messiah (Christ) is the ‘final goal toward which men are striving’ [“end”; KJV] for righteousness….” (Rom. 10:4). To follow in his steps who did no sin.” [1 Pet. 2:21,22].
