White (Australia)  I recall vividly my Dad’s railing against the United Kingdom’s membership of the European Union during the 1970s and that it did nothing for the country. He detested the loss of British sovereignty and the way the British governments permitted the EEC (now the EU) to walk all over them. And I still recall his joy when the British voted to leave the EU in 2016.
