Are Polygamous Marriages Authorized by Scripture?
(Copyright) by Royce Mitchell, Jr. (Manvel, Texas) There are those within the Christian community who claim that polygamous marriages are authorized — even commanded — by scripture. But does scripture really support that assertion? Or has scripture been misapplied to allow men to do what they want to do with women? The truth is important because the spiritual health of our sisters, and our brothers, is at stake. To understand the truth, we have to go back to the beginning—to the Garden of Eden. In the Garden we find that God paraded the animals two by two in front of Adam […]
Human Sacrifice in Scripture
(Copyright) by David Sielaff (Portland, Oregon) Iron Sharpening IronIn regard to: Human Sacrifice in ScriptureArticle by David SielaffComments by Laura Lee (Bismarck, North Dakota) This was an excellent article in regard to Human Sacrifice in Scripture, however I did find a few items written within the article which I would consider to be errors. On page 13 of Special Edition #66, the author states: “God the Father sacrificed His son Jesus, the Son of God and the first creation of God.” Jesus was not a created being: Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Col […]

There are so many Scriptures that support this command. For example, the night of the last Passover service, Jesus told Judas something, by which he left the gathering. The disciples wondered why he left. And one of their thoughts […]
Where in Scripture is The Trinity Mentioned?
by Wily Elder (Ocala, Florida) The short answer is: The Trinity is never mentioned in any scriptures. The next question would be: Where is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) mentioned together? Only two places in the Bible do we have this occurrence. One passage is in Matthew 28:19, second to the last verse in the book of Matthew. “Go you therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). This scripture would appear to be an implicit endorsement of the Trinity, the three-in-one […]
