New Covenant Law

(Copyright 08-24-2025) by Rod Reynolds (Wentzville, Missouri)  Dear Friends and Brethren, It’s commonly taught among professing Christian churches that some or all of the commandments of God, especially the ten commandments given from Mt. Sinai, are not applicable to Christians. Christ, we are told, has “replaced the law,” including the ten commandments, thus they are no longer obligatory for Christians. An example of this general idea is found in how the Jamieson Fausset Brown Bible Commentary interprets the meaning of Colossians 2:14: “The law (including especially the moral law, wherein lay the chief difficulty in obeying) is abrogated to the believer….” “The […]

Stephen and the New Deal

(Copyright 06-25-25) by Richard T. Ritenbaugh (Charlotte, North Carolina)  Luke begins the action of the book of Acts just weeks after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In his second chapter, only days after Christ’s dramatic ascension to the Father’s right hand, he relates the giving of the Holy Spirit that launches the New Testament church. The ensuing chapters detail its subsequent growth and expansion throughout the world as God added thousands of believers to the church (Acts 2:41; 4:4). He shows the apostles performing stunning signs and wonders—even Peter’s shadow passing over the sick left healed people in its wake (Acts 5:12-16). An anomaly to the dynamic […]

Walz & China, new allegations

(Copyright 06-30-2025) by Curtis Dahlgren (Stephenson, Michigan)  Tucker Carlson appeared to be in near disbelief over allegations brought against Minn. Gov. Tim Walz by investigative journalist Liz Collin. Collin claimed that National Guard members who served with Walz are blowing the whistle over an Army tank manual “that went missing” during his tenure. “[Tim Walz] was assigned to this tank. It was nuclear capable,” Collins said before getting to the alleged nefarious behavior. Collins said the whistleblowers had contacted the FBI because Walz was travelling “back and forth” to China at the time. Tucker stopped her to get a handle on the allegations. “You are […]

Is New Year’s Eve a Pagan Holiday?

(Copyright) by Mike Ford (Oxford, Georgia)   “Learn not the way of the heathen” (Jeremiah 10:2, KJV) We know we are in the Christmas season—that time of year true Christians dread—when we find ourselves humming along with the piped-in music at the store and suddenly realize it is a Christmas tune. The church has published many messages over the years about the pagan origins of Christmas, but it is rare to hear or read about the New Year’s Eve celebrations that occur just a week later. This article is intended to fill that gap. The Internet is also shockingly devoid of useful articles on this […]

The Sabbath in the New Testament

The Sabbath in the New Testament (Part One)(Copyright) by Ray Daly (Lincoln, North Dakota)              In the Mar-Apr 2022 issue of “The Sabbath Sentinel” was an article on the Sabbath.  In the article some “26 reasons why we should keep the Sabbath”, were presented by an individual named Daniel Liechly.  The information came from the teachings of an individual named Andreas Fischer, from Germany, that lived in the 16th century.             For the purpose of this article, I am going to quote from four of those points.             #1).  “There are Ten Commandments of God which constitute the Covenant. The Sabbath commandment […]

A New Beginning, An Inauguration!

(Copyright) by John Jewell (London, England)  From January 23, 2009Naturally, the big news at the moment is the election of Mr. Barack Obama as president of the United States. The TV footage and radio interviews showed what a great deal of hope the American citizens, and also citizens in other nations, have in Mr. Obama. Indeed, many have shown a considerable faith in him, yet no one really knows a lot about him. As we said in a recent Letter from London he was born in Hawaii of an American mother from Kansas and a father who is a Kenyan […]

Who was in Charge of the New Testament Temple? And Why Should You Care?

(Copyright) by Wily Elder (Ocala, Florida)  The answer to the last question first: The reason you should care is because it will reveal the day on which Pentecost should be celebrated. How is that possible? “Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, when you come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest. And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave […]

The Two Triangles of the New Testament

(Copyright) by Avram Yehoshua (Flagstaff, Arizona)  The two Triangles consist of three Scripture points each that the Lord Jesus, Paul, John, and the Book of Hebrews present concerning how Christians should walk out their faith in Jesus of Nazareth. The two Triangles reveal the biblical way to follow Jesus Christ that will challenge you, but hopefully you’ll see that the Lord has another Way for you to follow Him—His Way. The First Triangle deals with Jesus being our Example and the Second Triangle speaks of the Church (the Body of Christ). If you can, please try and disprove the concept that […]

“They Sang as it were a New Song Before the Throne”

by Author Unknown (Minnesota)  In Rev. 14:1-5, God speaks of 144,000 redeemed from among men–first fruits–virgins–who follow the Lamb wherever He goes–not defiled with women {church groups}–having the God-Family Name written on their foreheads. It is these redeemed that begin “singing” {speaking of} the new way (Ps. 138:5) to rightly worship God and follow Christ and make Them your God and put away your idols far from you. ONLY Jesus Christ was anointed to be your Mediator–none else! In Is. 42:8 God says no longer He will give His glory and praise to your carved images {men who lead you to […]

Yet Another “Happy New Year”

(Copyright) by John Jewell (London, England)  Is what most of the British people were wishing each other as the chimes of Big Ben rang throughout London and resounded from the loudspeakers of radios and television sets throughout the rest of the western world as their citizens likewise wished each other a Happy New Year or however it is in their local language. Bonne Annee I think, in French!  Throughout the United Kingdom parties were being held, fireworks let off in celebration. And, of course, the usual competition for best firework display between Sydney in Australia and London. The London organizers […]

A New Era? Causes of War, Causes of Defeat

(Copyright) by Curtis Dahlgren (Stephenson, Michigan)  “O that you would have hearkened unto My Commandments! Your peace would have been like a river and your godliness as the waves of the sea.” – the God of Israel FROM WHENCE COME WARS AND FIGHTING AMONG YOU? “From the lusts that war within you… You adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that friendship with the world is enmity with God?” – James Someone said that only a nation on its knees is able to stand up to its enemies. As for defeats, the U.S. has had plenty of them since World War II. This […]

New Beginning

(Copyright) by Gary Miller (Pocahontas, Arkansas)  Every Tomorrow is a New Beginning. BE WORD WISE:“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” (Prv. 25:11) “For by your Words you are justified and by your Words you are condemned.” (Matt. 12:37) Every Yesterday cannot be rewritten.  WHEN A NEW BEGINNING HAPPENS:The ending of one cycle is connected to the beginning of another.Always.  This is always the case…not something rare: Every Ending signals a New Beginning is about to start…just over the horizon or only moments away. “Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. Happy New Year…!

Understanding Circumcision and the New Testament Covenant

by Gregory Diaz (Wayne, New Jersey)  The great controversy of the New Testament church regarded whether or not gentile believers needed to be circumcised. It will be seen that this question is one concerning whether the unconverted may fellowship with the church. It is a question regarding communication. Communication is the key component of the gospel message. We know that God inspired it on Pentecost at the founding of the church. Romans 10:17 says “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Also, Malachi 3:16 says “Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to […]

The New Education

by James McBride (United Kingdom) Many parents have received the brush-off when they ask, What did you do today at school? So, do you know what your child is being taught? Or do you just trust the school to do the ‘right’ thing? Can you be sure that they are taught values akin to your own? Is there a reason for an increasing number of parents choosing to homeschool their children? It used to be English, Math, Art, Gym, Geography, Religion. Now—in Primary! – it’s globalism, transgender, LGBTQ+, with a nod towards traditional subjects but each heavily loaded towards ‘climate change’, […]
