| If ever there has been an exercise in futility, it is the attempt to convince people to put differences aside and be united not divided. It was the theme of President Biden’s inaugural address, a speech equivalent to an unrealistic wish list. There could not have been a greater degree of meaningless platitudes spoken. The words were completely out of touch with reality, yet it should not have come as a surprise since leaders in Washington live in a bubble enveloped by a reality of their own making. The nation’s leaders and the American people are walking on an emotional razor’s edge as frustration, anger and hate towards one another festers and grows. America’s very survival is at stake, but voices of reason are scoffed at, ridiculed, shunned, and silenced by every means possible. Self demands it must be catered to and accommodated. Individuals and groups with radical agendas are in opposition of one another to such an extreme that they are deliberately blinded to the deadly consequences of their reprehensible, irresponsible, and reckless actions. Another civil war is coming with a far deadlier outcome. When it does Americans will only have themselves to blame. A Lawless Cultural Decline The culture of any nation defines who and what it is. Culturally, the United States is being redefined and transformed according to an evolving set of standards being forced upon society by a godless generation of liberals who believe society must be liberated from the shackles of an outdated moral code of conduct. No consideration whatsoever is given to the toll it is taking on the nation because they are too busy planning for the next assault upon morality, long established conservative principles, institutions and laws that have always provided the nation with unparalleled security and stability. People have never been so cynical and opinionated. The infectious mindset of, “You must change to accommodate my views and actions,“ and “I’m okay but you are not,” has turned us into a nation of characters instead of a nation with the required character to survive what is coming. Just as England is no longer Great Britain, when looking at America the nation can no longer lay claim to the name The United States. Nothing could be further from the truth. The nation is in a state of chaos. Lawlessness is overtaking the rule of law. America is fractured from within. Why? Ezekiel 2:4- “For they are impudent children (cocky with no regard for others) and stiff hearted (stiff necked) …” It is extremely frustrating for Americans who knew what occurred when the country was established. There is a deep respect and appreciation for the nation’s founding fathers acknowledgment of God as the guiding hand through the struggles the country was faced with. Times, however, have radically changed. According to bigoted, uninformed left-wing godless liberals, the United States is a nation with an unforgiving racist past, the founding fathers were racist, and the United States still suffers from deeply rooted racism, especially whites. The Handwriting is on the Wall Just as King Belshazzar was told in Daniel 5:24-28- that his kingdom was finished, it is a warning for America today. Mene – God has numbered America as a nation, and it is finished. Tekel – America is weighed in the balances and is found wanting. Peres – America is divided and will be given to its enemies. A Society Unhinged It is staggering to see how lawless America has become. Lawlessness is a national and individual scourge. It is not an expression of “righteous indignation” as Terry Moran of ABC News reported over and over when cities such as Minneapolis, Portland, and Seattle were looted and set on fire by members of Black Lives Matter and Antifa. America is a nation without a sense of direction, and aimless without a moral code used as a guide. Why? Because answers are being sought in all the wrong places. One Set of Laws for Everyone The bible speaks of one set of laws. If such laws were obeyed, it would change the attitudes people have towards one another. The country would be completely transformed. I Timothy 1:8-10- “But we know the law (the Ten Commandments) is good, if a man use it lawfully. (9) Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless or disobedient, for the unholy and profane (impure, defiled, and vulgar), for murders of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers. (10) For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind (commit homosexuality), for men stealers (slave traders), for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine (what the bible states).” The Failure of the Nation’s Clergy The nation’s clergy in churches across the country erroneously teach the Ten Commandments have been “nailed to the cross” when Christ died. People are no longer required to keep them. The teaching is completely contrary to what the bible says. Matthew 5:17- “Think not that I come to destroy (abolish) the law (the Ten Commandments), or the prophets (what the prophets wrote): I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.” According to Merriam Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary Tenth Edition, the word fulfill means: (1) To make full (2) To put into effect (3) To execute (4) to convert into reality (5) To perform (6) To carry out the terms. Christ’s death magnified the law. Because the nations’ clergy have miserably failed to teach the Ten Commandments are still valid, it has trickled down to society and it has resulted in the lack of a moral guide, no absolutes, lawlessness, and problems without answers. The Ten Commandments would keep society and individual lives in check. |
