Bibles for Brethren

Very few people in any African nation have ever owned a Bible.  Just $10 buys one in the Bemba language, plus a pen or pencil.  When these faithful elders receive funds, they purchase Bibles at the local bookstore and distribute them. It’s about 4 km away for Obed and 12 for Manad.

Feast of Tabernacles – mattresses, blankets and food
Our brethren in western Kenya walk many miles to Sengera or Getionko in Kisii County to attend each of the three annual Feasts, but they can’t bring much food with them and often go hungry despite feasting on spiritual food. Also, the children sleep in the boys’ and girls’ dorms on the floor with only a few blankets and no mattresses or pillows.  They need so many things, but anything you can do to help them would be greatly appreciated.  The widows, widowers and orphans pray every day for the donors who relieve their hardships.

Fellowship Tabernacle
Reuben is a farmer in rural Kericho County, two counties northeast of Kisii County (about 90 km apart) in western Kenya.  It’s too far for the believers there to walk to Kisii for the Feast, and none can afford a taxi.  They observe the Sabbath in small groups, but they need a place to gather and fellowship, especially for the three annual Feasts.  Reuben and his sons are eager to build one; timber and cement aren’t expensive, but nobody has any funds to contribute.  Until recently, few even had a Bible.  $10 isn’t much in the USA, but it’s a princely sum there.  Also, sales tax is 16%.  Please donate what you can to this worthy endeavor.
