| I came across these two videos which provide eye-opening information about America’s nuclear deterrent capability and the history of developing nuclear bombs. The first video is only 11 minutes long yet filled with good info on America’s nuclear attack capability for deterring any enemy attacks. The ability to retaliate against an enemy has been the main avenue for preventing a nuclear exchange between the superpowers of the world. However, with rogue nations, such as, Iran, obtaining nuclear weapons that equation may not work against those who welcome death as part of their religious ideology and the glory that death would bring to them. And there are those who are willing to gamble that a limited nuclear confrontation would not lead to a worldwide nuclear holocaust ending all life upon the earth. The Bible speaks of a future time of trouble in which no life would survive if not cut short by God’s intervention. See Matthew 24:19-22. The second video lays out the history of the development of the nuclear bomb and the race toward a nuclear nightmare by the superpowers of the world. This video is about 30 minutes long but worth the time to watch. The bombs that were dropped on Japan in 1945 were nuclear fission bombs. More powerful bombs were later developed with nuclear fusion. How many times more powerful are these bombs? The number will astound you. The only solution to the world’s fate of annihilation is the intervention of God that will precede the return of Christ to bring about a lasting peace for mankind.
