| This was an excellent article in regard to Human Sacrifice in Scripture, however I did find a few items written within the article which I would consider to be errors. On page 13 of Special Edition #66, the author states: “God the Father sacrificed His son Jesus, the Son of God and the first creation of God.” Jesus was not a created being: Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. According to the above scriptures, Christ created everything. It is not possible for Christ to have created himself, so these scriptures prove that Christ is not a created being. On page 14 the author makes the following statement: “Despite everything man and spirits (little “gods”) will do, all from God through Adam will be saved. All will have full knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4):” I am not sure here what the author means by “spirits (little “gods”) but Christ’s sacrifice was for man and not for spirit beings. Spirit beings lived in heaven with God and had full knowledge of the truth. So, if they decided as Lucifer did to go against God there is no salvation for them any longer. 1 Timothy 2:4 also does not say that all men and women will be saved. What it says is as follows: 1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (King James) 1Ti 2:4 who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. (World English Bible) 1Ti 2:4 who would have all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth. (American Standard Version) In this case the King James bible is not as clear as some other bible versions. What 1 Timothy 2:4 says is that God desires that all people come to the knowledge of the truth and that they will be saved. Unfortunately, not all people will choose to go God’s way. Some will choose not to love the truth as Lucifer chose not to. In other words, just as all spirits were given a choice in regard to Gods way, all people will also have that choice but some people just as some spirits will decide due to free will that they do not want to go God’s way and they will be destroyed forever. In the author’s end notes, number seven, he says: “7 For all intelligent non-human beings in God’s creation, their destiny is to be reconciled to YHWH (Colossians 1:20; Philippians 2:10-–11). They will not become children of God, so far as we are told in Scripture. DWS” In the above end note he only uses Colossians 1:20 but I believe you have to read further to understand who is going to be reconciled. Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; In other words, in order to be reconciled to God you must be keeping the law of God. Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Php 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. He also mentions Php 2:10-11 which the only people who will bow the knee and confess Jesus is Lord will be those who believe and keep God’s law of love. Those who are against God will not be found doing this. Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. In conclusion, good and evil is defined by God’s law. So, if you keep God’s law you will be reconciled to God, if you do evil, you will not be reconciled to God. |
