“If we are properly judging ourselves, we would not come under judgment. But when we are judged by the Lord [when we fail to use proper judgment ourselves], we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world. So, my dear brothers and sisters, when you gather for the Lord’s Supper, wait for each other” (I Corinthians 11:31-33). Have you ever noticed when something is offered to the public how people will go to great lengths to be first in line? The world’s mentality says, “I got to get while the getting is good,” or “he who hesitates is a fool.” And my favorite saying, “He who laughs last, didn’t get the joke!” The world teaches us that we should strive to be number one or the very best or to be at the top of a list. But then we will also come under judgment. However, God says to wait for each other. Yes, it would be nice if Christ returned next Tuesday after my 80-inch screen TV is delivered by Amazon so I can be the first one in my church to watch His return on my BIG SCREEN TV set! If Christ should return this year on Pentecost or Trumpets so that some of us can escape “hell on earth” from the seven last plagues, what about those who are not yet ready? What should we do on their behalf? WAIT! If a husband and wife go to a restaurant for dinner, the husband may jump out of the car and head for the restaurant entrance. But his wife may need to stay in their car to check her hair or makeup before exiting the vehicle. If the husband, instead of waiting for his wife to join him so that they can enter together, rushes on in to grab a table, believe me, he will come UNDER JUDGMENT! Something that should not have to wait is justice. “Justice delayed is justice denied” is a famous quote by William E. Gladstone, a British statesman back in 1868. How true. We are seeing in our nation a legal battle shaping up which may bring about a constitutional crisis. President Trump has been actively carrying out his campaign promises to the electorate which put him back in the White House for a second term. Yet there are those who oppose his efforts to protect American citizens from harm by cruel gang members. They have found politically biased judges to thwart the President’s efforts to safeguard us by the Constitutional authority granted to the Executive Branch of our Republic. The short video by Zach DeGregorio, linked below, details the latest shenanigans undertaken by political opponents to undermine Trump’s agenda to protect the wellbeing of American citizens and legal residents. As in ancient times, there are corrupt judges who are more concerned about politics than justice. Their abuse of authority for political or financial gain weakens the strength of our constitutional republic. Recall that after the American Revolution, soldiers disgruntled with Congress desired to make George Washington king. Washington declined and reminded his men that their fight was to establish a nation not ruled by a tyrant. See The Man Who Would Not Be King | The Heritage Foundation. It is possible if the will of the American people is overruled by corrupt judges, then these judges will eventually come under judgment by the American people who desire true justice and not abuse of authority. Our Republic as we know it may collapse, and Donald Trump could possibly become the first American king. It happened in ancient Rome with Julius Caesar. Recall that Rome too was first a republic. Zach’s video on corrupt judges reminded me of what happened in ancient Israel when the Israelites told Samuel that they wanted a king. Why? Because of the injustice of corrupt judges! And because they did not have faith in God to bring about justice. See I Samuel eight. These corrupt judges were Samuel’s own sons. Samuel was a faithful man of God. So, it seems strange why his own sons lacked the same integrity as their father. Sadly, it is a repeated story in the Bible with the kings of Israel and Judah. But all wasn’t lost for Samuel’s family. In the second video by Daniel Batarseh, his Bible Study on I Samuel eight brings out some surprising revelations about Samuel’s grandkids who later served God under King David. Samuel was a descendant of Korah who rebelled against Moses many years prior. See Numbers 16. No matter your ancestry or background, God is able to transform us and make us a new creation in Christ. I found this Bible study very exciting and edifying in preparation for Passover. You will be greatly inspired by the spiritual lessons found in this video. Like the ancient Israelites, will Americans eventually turn our constitutional republic into a constitutional monarchy and demand a king? For Christians, there should be no king but Jesus.
