| Farewell, Your Majesty (Copyright) by Dwight Fleming (Oroville, California) We are all saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Her passing marks the end of an era, not just for the United Kingdom, but for the entire world. As the longest reigning British monarch, she served with grace and dignity that won the hearts of nearly everyone despite any human flaws. She was a great lady, not just because she had become queen, but because she was dedicated to serving God and country, which benefited the entire world by her example. We have all seen her on TV throughout the years with many world leaders in grand ceremonies acting as a Royal Queen was expected to act. But she also had a great sense of humor which needs to be viewed to help offset any grief that we may feel for the loss of such a majestic lady. “Long live the Queen!” And live long is what she did by the grace of God.
